Hagen von Tulien is offering some of his art for sale. Click HERE for details.
After a last-second call to fill in at January’s Alauda show at the Skylark West Seattle (where she performed to the Soulsavers “Paper Money“), Kindle’s next big performance will be at the second run of the Crazy Little Thing Called Love show…
The design is based on Hagen von Tulien’s stunning “Black Lotus Kult” artwork. Starting Lent Season this year, each of these pendants were personally charged by Archbishop Michael Bertiaux, and given a blessing by him of “Love, Joy and Prosperity” for the new owner. These were then charged in a “Typhonian Tantric” ritual by Black Lotus Kult, and further blessed in a mass of the Ecclesia Gnostica Spiritualis.
Each of these sterling silver amulets are handmade, one of a kind items. The artist pasted the design onto sheet, drilled and cut them out using non-powered tools, and then stamped with hand punches and worked the piece with files and small tools. To finish, the bail is hard-soldered, and then they were given a hand-polish. It is very labor-intensive compared to letting a computer and machine do it, but worth it in the end as each piece is unique and meant to last beyond a lifetime.
Net proceeds from this limited offering will go to fund a future Bertiaux/BLK co-production (tentatively in Seattle 2015) and also provide some help for Seattle Humane and Alley Cat Allies (two animal charities). Each amulet comes with a box, bag, “Prayer Card”, BLK Certificate of Authenticity, and two BLK decals. Purchasers will be credited with a note of thanks in printed or web materials related to the project.
There will only be 11 of these amulets produced and offered to the public.
All of these have been sold or reserved, please send a message to the Black Lotus Kult or BLK Library Facebook page to be placed on a waiting list in the event of an unpurchased reserved piece becomes available.
Schedule of events;
6:00-7:00PM – Meet and Greet and Book Signing. Open to public. A chance to converse and get some books/journals signed. Writers/Artist on hand will include Hagen von Tulien, Johnny Jakobsson, Dawn von Nagy, Ariock Van de Voorde and more. A VERY limited edition “BLK Celebration” print designed by Hagen will be made available. Wine and snacks will be served.
7:00-9:00PM – Ritual/Performance. Semi-Private. Invited guests may convene in the ritual chambers for an evening of evocative entertainment from Black Lotus Kult and Friends. Space is limited, and once invited guests are let in, we will allow additional attendees to enter as room permits. Performances will include the premier of a song from a Michael Bertiaux/Black Lotus Kult collaboration!
9:00-? – Carousing. Open to Public. After the performances are complete, we will head one door down to The Honey Hole (703 E Pike) for shenanigans.
We host a number of occult artists and writers at the BLK Kompound as they come to town for the Seattle Esoteric Book Conference. This kept us busy before and after the event, but it was a joy to have our friends near. The 2012 EBC was an absolute delight to attend, and we will get to work on a review for you to read in time. We now need to make room on the walls for new works by Liv Rainey-Smith and Hagen von Tulien.
Following the EBC, we held our annual Black Lotus Kult Celebration. This year’s party was held in honor of Fulgur Limited’s 20 years of publishing. We are proud to have their books in the BLK Library and we are looking forward to another 20 years from Fulgur!
Earlier in the day of the BLK Celebration, before the festivities, we performed a version of the Shiva Mass that we received from Michael Bertiaux. In this picture from later in the evening, Kindle Cimmerian performs a Mass closing ritual.
After the Celebration, we found a VERY secluded retreat for our Autumnal Equinox workings. Now we are back home, and ready to start work again. New music, writings and performances will be coming soon and increasing in frequency in the New Year. We will also be posting more pictures from this, and previous year’s BLK Celebrations.
