At the “GODLIKE” Bellydance show at this year’s BLK Celebration, SamiTe’ will embody Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt!
Artemis, the daughter of Zeus and twin sister of Apollo, is the goddess of the hunt, wild animals, vegetation, chastity and childbirth. This Goddess of Wild Nature is known to dance with nymphs in mountains, forests and marshes. She embodies the sportsman ideal as not only a huntress but also protector of the wild.
A performer/instructor based out of Tampa Bay, Florida, SamiTe’ is known for her dynamic approach to movement. She blends many styles of dance; from Cabaret Bellydance, Hula, and Classical Indian Dance, combined with her acrobatic background to create diverse performances that always leave her audiences wanting more.
As an instructor, SamiTe’ brings her experience as a yoga instructor and work in physical therapy to focus on anatomy and physiology of movement for safe exploration of shape, depth, and dimension.
She has trained extensively at Hot Pot Studios with Amy Sigil and is a certified Improvisational Tribal Style Bellydance instructor. She is the owner of Te’ Movement and Bodywork Studio in Clearwater, Florida where she teaches weekly movement and dance classes
At BLK Celebration 2019, divinity will once again hit the stage with the light of 1000 suns, as our “GODLIKE” show is resurrected. Movement artists will draw upon mythology, history, fiction and personal esoteric experiences to invoke and evoke through their dance performances.
